Aircraft Twirls Out of Control into Palm Fronds at Frequented Southern California Beach
An aircraft flying over a well-attended California coastline abruptly began spiraling wildly, finally descending rapidly and crashing into a line of palm groves as beachgoers observed.
Videos posted on the internet show the helicopter starting to spin over Huntington Beach then descending near the edge of the coast, where it gets stuck among palm trees and a set of stairs near the coastal road.
Rescue Operation Update
Emergency responders stated five individuals were taken to hospital comprising a pair who were in the chopper and were “rescued from the debris” following the incident on the weekend.
Three individuals on the street were harmed. Details on their condition were still under review.
The reason for the accident was not yet disclosed.

Authorities said the helicopter was linked to an yearly “Cars and Copters” benefit occasion set for the following day.
